HR Assistant

About the role

Assist in managing daily HR operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities including interview scheduling, onboarding and employee confirmation
• Assist in handling employee relations matters, disciplinary documentation and performance appraisal coordination
• Coordinate employee engagement activities and staff welfare initiatives
• Prepare monthly HR reports, manpower reports and other management-related documentation
• Maintain and update employee personnel files, HR databases and employment records
• Monitor and update employee attendance, leave, overtime and other payroll-related information
• Assist in collecting, verifying and preparing payroll inputs, employee claims and supporting documents
• Prepare HR letters, forms, reports and other administrative documents as required
• Monitor outstanding HR documentation and follow up with employees and relevant departments
• Perform other HR-related duties as assigned by the Senior HR Manager

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Basic to good knowledge of Malaysian employment laws, HR practices and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Good communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Able to handle confidential information and sensitive employee matters professionally
• Detail-oriented, proactive and willing to learn
• Preferably 1–2 years of working experience in Human Resources
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply
• Experience in full spectrum of HR functions is an advantage
