HR Assistant

Summertown Metals is looking for a motivated, self-directed individual to serve as an HR Assistant. This is a full-time position which is eligible for benefits which include medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, life, 401K with up to a 4% company match, PTO and vacation time.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Review and update all personnel profiles on Paycor. Make sure all data is documented in the appropriate area.
• Be present and assist with new hire interviews.
• Assist in developing on board process for new employees.
• Assist in setting up Employee Benefits via Employee Navigator/Paycor.
• Assist monitoring monthly KRA updates and ensure leaders are reviewing with their team members.
• Partner with payroll to ensure wage and benefit changes are implemented properly.
• Investigate and assist with complaints brought forward by employees.
• Conduct reference checks and perform background checks for new hires.
• Separate employee system for tracking health related items
• Assist in weekly safety meetings as needed with the safety coordinator.
• Help set up work comp file for work comp cases. Assist safety coordinator with any needed information in completing OSHA 300 forms each year.
• Monitor and champion Drug Free Workplace and random drug screen policy.
• Assist with all Hope Center documentation and payments
• Assist Doug with benefits bills as needed.
• Assist with any other project as needed.
