Working Hours: 9am ~6pm (Mon - Fri)

Salary Range: MYR3,500 – MYR6,000

Job Summary

A Payroll Associate ensures accurate, timely employee compensation by processing payroll data, managing deductions, and ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations. They maintain employee records, resolve payroll queries, and utilize specialized software to handle bonuses, commissions, and benefits, bridging HR and accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records, including personal data, tax status, and banking information.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and tax regulations. Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and documentation for audits.
• Act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving discrepancies in pay or benefits in a timely manner.
• Assist in other ad-hoc tasks.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma and above
• Min 1 year experience in payroll processing.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive financial and personal employee data with discretion.
• Proactive, organized, able to work under pressure, and highly analytical.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

• Confidentiality: Payroll involves sensitive data. How do you ensure confidentiality when handling salary and personal employee information?

• System Proficiency: How proficient are you in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)? Any experience with payroll system migration or implementation?

Employee Queries: An employee disputes their salary deduction. How do you handle the inquiry while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy?

• Multi-tasking: This role supports both HR and accounting functions. How do you prioritize when given multiple ad-hoc tasks from different stakeholders?
• Audit Readiness: Have you ever prepared payroll documentation for an audit or tax filing? What was your involvement?
