What they need

HR Contract

  • Immediate start contract through to March 2027
  • Christchurch-based
  • Strong organisational change and HR project experience essential

A bit about the position:
We are working with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced HR professional to support a range of people initiatives during a key period of transformation and improvement.

Working closely with the wider HR team, you will lead and support several targeted change initiatives. You will provide guidance around change planning, stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, and consultation documentation, ensuring leaders are well supported throughout the process.

Alongside the change work, you will assist with the implementation of a new Applicant Tracking System, helping to move recruitment processes into a more efficient and streamlined environment. This will involve updating templates, establishing workflows, and improving overall recruitment processes.

You will also partner with key stakeholders to review and modernise HR policies, procedures, and documentation, developing a prioritised roadmap to ensure resources and information remain current, accessible, and fit for purpose.

This is an opportunity to bring hands-on execution to a varied and impactful contract role.

A bit about you:
You will be an experienced HR practitioner, ideally operating at Senior HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Adviser level. You will have proven experience leading organisational change, and consultation processes and be confident partnering with leaders through complex people matters.

You will be highly organised, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, and able to quickly assess priorities and create structure in evolving environments. Experience with HR systems implementation, process improvement, and policy review work will be highly regarded.
Most importantly, you will be collaborative, pragmatic, and capable of building strong relationships across all levels of an organisation. You will enjoy supporting and influencing others while balancing both strategic and operational responsibilities.

In return, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine impact across a diverse organisation, working on meaningful projects alongside a supportive and capable HR team. You will enjoy a varied workload, flexible working arrangements, and the chance to add immediate value in a role where your expertise will be highly valued.
