HR Executive

The HR Executive is responsible for managing and executing a wide range of human resources functions including recruitment, training, employee relations, performance management, compensation, compliance, and HR administration. The role supports business goals by attracting talent, promoting staff development, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a positive and safe work environment especially within technical and calibration related departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various roles, especially in calibration and engineering functions.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Lead and coordinate Domestic Inquiries (DI) from end-to-end including draft the Notice of Domestic Inquiry, formulate precise charges, appoint an independent panel, prepare company witnesses/evidence, and record minutes.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment through regular engagement activities.
• Advise management on employee relations matters and foster a culture of fairness and support.
• Identify training needs and coordinate internal and external development programs.
• Organize and monitor technical training for staff involved in calibration, engineering, and safety critical functions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and support employees in continuous skill development.
• Administer monthly payroll, allowances, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and income tax).
• Conduct market research and recommend competitive salary structures for specialized roles.
• Develop and manage incentive plans and other employee reward schemes.
• Oversee the annual performance appraisal cycle and ensure timely and constructive evaluations.
• Collaborate with department heads to define performance objectives and KPIs.
• Guide managers in addressing underperformance and fostering continuous improvement.
• Ensure HR activities comply with Malaysian labor laws, ISO standards, and industry-specific regulations.
• Develop, implement, and update HR policies and SOPs.
• Support audits and implement corrective actions related to HR and regulatory compliance.
• Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives such as team-building events and recognition programs.
• Analyze employee feedback and turnover trends to improve job satisfaction and retention.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and documentation.
• Utilize HR systems for attendance, payroll, leave, and performance tracking.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics for senior management decision-making.
• Work closely with the EHS Officer to ensure a safe work environment.
• Ensure employees are trained and briefed on safety standards and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety protocols related to calibration operations.

Qualification and Requirements

Education:

1. Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Work Experience:

1. Human Resource Management: 1 year (Required)
2. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of generalist HR experience
3. Experience of handling Industrial Relations (IR) and independently managing Domestic Inquiries (DI) in an SME environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

1. Ability to use Microsoft product
2. Experience with SQL payroll system

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Breakfast break : 15 minute
• Lunch Break : 1 hour
• Tea Break: 15 minute
