HR Executive

About the role

The Human Resources Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations while driving employee engagement and supporting a high-performance culture. This role ensures smooth HR processes, supports people development, and fosters a positive and accountable workplace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycles (onboarding to offboarding)
• Maintain and update employee records in HR systems (e.g., BrioHR)
• Support payroll coordination, leave management, and attendance tracking
• Ensure HR documentation is accurate, updated, and audit-ready
• Handle employee queries on HR policies and procedures
• Coordinate performance appraisal cycles (KPI setting, reviews, evaluations)
• Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and activities
• Coordinate recruitment process (job posting, screening, interview arrangement)
• Coordinate training programmes (internal / external)
• Track employee training hours and development plans

About you

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 3-5 years of HR experience (generalist preferred)
• Familiar with HRIS systems (e.g., BrioHR)
• Good understanding of Malaysian labour laws and HR practices
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Oral communication: modifying communication to the situation and addressing misunderstandings
• Interpersonal skills: actively listening and providing assistance to others
• Collaboration: building relationships and working cooperatively with others
• Planning and organizing: following schedules and timelines appropriately
• HR Knowledge: basic knowledge of human resources functional areas such as Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment, Performance Management, and Training & Development
