HR Executive

About the role

XChangeLab is a cross-border payments and FX company with operations in Hong Kong and Malaysia. We are growing our team in Johor Bahru and need an HR Executive to run day-to-day HR and help us hire well.

Key responsibilities

• Run recruitment end to end: post jobs, screen CVs, set up interviews, follow up with candidates
• Prepare offer letters and employment contracts
• Onboard new staff: paperwork, first-day setup, induction
• Keep staff records, leave and attendance up to date
• Prepare monthly payroll inputs and work with accountant / payroll provider
• Handle EPF, SOCSO, EIS and other statutory submissions and records
• Draft and update simple HR policies and the employee handbook
• Be the first point of contact for staff HR questions

About you

• 2+ years in an HR executive or HR generalist role in Malaysia
• Good working knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)
• Hands-on recruitment experience
• Organised, discreet and good with details
• Good written and spoken English
• Confident with Excel / Google Sheets
• Experience in finance, fintech or a small fast-growing company (nice to have)
• Experience with HR or payroll software (nice to have)
• Diploma or degree in HR, business or similar (nice to have)
