HR Generalist

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Officer to join our team. The HR Officer will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring compliance with labor laws, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting the overall goals of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of HR processes, and a passion for employee development and welfare. The candidate must be willing to work in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Relations Management:

• Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and resolve issues effectively.
• Promote a positive working environment through initiatives that enhance employee engagement.
• Implement and ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and ethical standards.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

• Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
• Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
• Maintain an updated talent pool and ensure the effective use of recruitment channels.

Performance Management:

• Support the implementation of the performance appraisal system, ensuring it is fair, transparent, and aligned with company goals.
• Provide guidance and support to managers in handling performance-related issues.

Training and Development:

• Identify training needs and ensure employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Organize and supervise training sessions to enhance employee performance and growth.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Compensation and Benefits Administration:

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of manual payroll and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Administer employee benefits programs and provide support in benefits-related inquiries.
• Ensure payroll processes are followed accurately, including deductions, tax computations, and final pay.
• Generate eGov reports (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and submit them within the prescribed timelines.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure adherence to local labor laws and regulations in all HR activities.
• Prepare and submit HR reports, including employee statistics, turnover, and other key metrics to management.
• Conduct regular audits of HR processes to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Health, Safety, and Welfare:

• Promote workplace health, safety, and well-being, in line with local labor standards.
• Ensure proper implementation of workplace safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Experience in handling manual payroll and generating eGov reports (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) is required.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience in handling payroll and benefits administration.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment and take on diverse HR responsibilities as the company grows.
• With hotel & restaurant operation experience is advantage
• Willing to work on a start-up company
• Wiling to work in Quezon City
