  • Help managers with employee relations issues: document concerns, sit in on meetings, and prepare warning letters and performance improvement plans.
  • Help with workplace investigations by gathering statements, keeping records and preparing summaries.
  • Run exit interviews and coordinate offboarding, including returning company property and removing system access.

Onboarding and HR Administration

  • Keep employee records in Workday accurate for new hires, job changes, transfers and terminations.
  • Prepare HR documents such as employment letters, confirmation of employment, promotion letters and policy acknowledgements.
  • Keep personnel files organized, confidential and audit-ready.

Payroll, Benefits and Leaves

  • Send Payroll accurate employee changes, new hire details and termination information on time.
  • Enroll employees in group benefits, process changes and answer benefit questions.
  • Track leaves of absence (medical, parental, statutory) and coordinate return-to-work dates.
  • Help Safety & Compliance with WSIB claims documentation and accommodation requests.

Compliance and Programs

  • Help keep the company compliant with the Ontario ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code and AODA.
  • Help update and communicate HR policies and the employee handbook.
  • Track mandatory training and certifications.
  • Support the performance review cycle, engagement initiatives and new hire 30/60/90-day check-ins.

Reporting

  • Prepare HR reports on headcount, turnover, absenteeism and probation tracking.
  • Help with HR process improvements and special projects.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of HR Generalist or HR Coordinator experience.
  • Occasional travel will be required for this role
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) will be an asset in this role
  • Working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code).
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS data entry and maintenance. Workday is an asset.
  • Experience handling employee relations matters and HR documentation.
  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • CHRP designation (or working toward it) is an asset.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics or a high-volume, multi-site environment is an asset.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several priorities at once.
  • Discretion and sound judgment with confidential information.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
