HR Head

Job Responsibilities:

1. HR Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with J Mitras business growth, manufacturing expansion, and global ambitions
• Act as a trusted advisor to the MD, leadership team, and functional heads
• Drive organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

• Lead hiring for critical roles across manufacturing, QA/QC, R&D, regulatory affairs, sales, and global functions
• Build strong employer branding to attract niche IVD and life sciences talent
• Ensure robust manpower planning for plants and corporate offices

3. Performance Management & Talent Development

• Design and manage performance management systems aligned with business outcomes
• Drive leadership development, capability building, and learning initiatives
• Identify high-potential talent and create structured career progression paths

4. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

• Oversee employee relations, grievance handling, and engagement initiatives
• Manage industrial relations at manufacturing sites, including unions (if applicable)
• Ensure harmonious employee relations while maintaining productivity and discipline

5. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations

• Lead compensation structuring, benchmarking, incentives, and rewards
• Ensure smooth HR operations including payroll, HRMS, policies, and compliance
• Drive process excellence and digitization across HR

6. Statutory Compliance & Governance

• Ensure full compliance with Indian labor laws, factory acts, and statutory requirements
• Support audits (internal, statutory, customer, and regulatory audits) from an HR standpoint
• Align HR practices with global compliance expectations for international markets

7. Culture, Values & Change Management

• Strengthen organizational culture aligned with ethics, quality, and innovation
• Lead change management initiatives during growth, restructuring, or transformation
• Champion diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being

8. Global HR Exposure

• Support HR needs of international operations, distributors, and overseas employees
• Align policies and practices to support global business while remaining India-centric

Any other task assigned by Reporting Manager/Seniors
