Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager (HRM) assists the Director of Human Resources (DoHR) in managing the daily duties and operations of the Human Resources department. The individual is responsible for ensuring that all HR initiatives comply with the local labour law and that serve to attract, retain, and develop diverse premiere talent.

The Role

• Assist in formulating human resource policies, including plans for recruitment, training, utilization, and retention, to achieve the organization's strategic objectives.
• Establish a comprehensive recruitment and hiring system (including job descriptions, salary structures, recruitment and selection processes, and tools) to enable the organization to attract top talent.
• Develop a talent development framework aligned with the corporate culture to systematically train employees and strengthen the organization's human capital.
• Establish performance management and compensation systems, including salary adjustment policies, incentive programs, and pension schemes, to maintain competitiveness and retain high-performing employees.
• Mediate labor-management disputes and handle employee relations and other specialized human resource issues.
• Build and implement a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to support workforce development and decision-making.

Talent Profile

• Experiences in similar role in luxury hotels/resorts.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a managerial capacity.
• Experience in adult education or a similar environment.
• Experience managing in diverse cultures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills (i.e. ability to identify when training is the actual solution and provide it if required).
• Coaching and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of adult learning styles and principles.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
