About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated HR Intern – Training & Development to join our Human Resources team in Surabaya, East Java. This is a full-time position that offers an exceptional opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of human resources, with a specific focus on training and development initiatives. You will work alongside experienced HR professionals to support the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programmes whilst contributing to the overall development strategy of our organisation. This role is integral to ensuring our staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their roles and contribute to our institutional mission.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the identification of training needs across the organisation through surveys, interviews, and performance assessments
• Support the design and development of training materials, including presentations, manuals, and online learning resources
• Help coordinate and organise training sessions, workshops, and professional development events
• Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion rates, and participant feedback
• Analyse training evaluation data and prepare reports on training effectiveness and outcomes
• Assist in the onboarding process for new staff members, including orientation programme preparation and delivery support
• Conduct preliminary research on emerging training trends, methodologies, and tools relevant to our sector
• Provide administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling, document management, and correspondence
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and professional growth opportunities

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Indonesian is essential
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated interest in training, learning and development, and employee engagement
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment whilst also demonstrating initiative and independence
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work undertaken
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development
• Previous experience in HR, training delivery, or related administrative roles is preferred but not essential
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training platforms is advantageous
