HR Manager

About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced HR Manager to manage and strengthen our company's human resources function. This is a great opportunity for someone who has solid HR experience and is ready to take greater ownership of the full HR function in a growing M&E engineering company.

As HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives, whilst fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. You will work closely with management and employees across different functions and sites, supporting both people and business needs. The role covers the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, employee engagement, training, payroll coordination, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing HR strategies, HR policies and procedures that support organisational growth and align with company values.

• Lead full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.

• Overseeing employee relations, handling grievances, disciplinary matters, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation

• Coordinating employee training and development programmes to enhance skills and support career progression within the company.

• Managing payroll administration, benefits, and compensation matters in collaboration with finance and external providers.

• Conducting performance appraisals and establishing performance management systems to drive accountability and excellence.

• Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with data protection regulations.

• Fostering employee engagement initiatives and promoting a positive workplace culture.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

• 3-5 years of relevant human resource experience, prefarably with experience handling HR operations independently.

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws, regulations, and labour standards.

• Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, including experience with different hiring methods and platforms.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with employees at different levels.

• Experience using HRMS and Microsoft Office applications for employee records, attendance, leave, payroll, and other HR processes.

• Able to handle confidential information professionally.

• Experience in an engineering, construction, facilities management, or technical services company will be an advantage.
