Role
This is a rare chance to step into a proper generalist HR Manager role — one where you're across the full spectrum, not siloed into one function. You'll be the trusted HR voice for the Wellington office, acting as confidante and advisor to partners and staff alike, while tapping into the support and expertise of a broader HR team based in Auckland whenever you need it.
Your remit will include:

• Owning HR advisory services for the Wellington office — coaching, problem-solving and building trust with partners and staff
• Leading attraction and recruitment, including graduate programmes
• Driving the annual remuneration review and performance management processes
• Reviewing and refining HR policies and precedents to keep them fit for purpose
• Leading firmwide HR projects as delegated
• Providing commentary and insight from HR and financial reporting to drive change where needed
• Collaborating closely with your Auckland-based HR colleagues on shared initiatives, graduate recruitment and remuneration projects

You

• Solid generalist HR experience across all avenues
• A tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of best practice HR models
• A confident, credible advisor who builds trust quickly at all levels — including with senior stakeholders
• Someone with initiative, sound judgement and the resilience to juggle competing priorities
• Professional services experience is a bonus, not a must
