About the Company

Pragathy Group is a business group based in Kodungalloor, Kerala, started in 2016. It has two wholesale distribution businesses: Swastik Traders, which supplies construction and farming materials, and Optima Distributors, which supplies household products. It also has two retail businesses: Pragathy Home Needs, a household showroom, and Pragathy Plastics, a retail shop for construction and farming materials.

Job Summary

Pragathy Group is looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function across the group. The successful candidate will manage recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, and HR policies, while guiding the HR team and supporting the management in building a high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the HR team, including the HR Associate.
• Plan manpower requirements and manage end-to-end recruitment across all divisions.
• Oversee onboarding, employee documentation, attendance, leave, and HR records.
• Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with the Accounts team and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, labour laws, and other statutory HR requirements.
• Develop, implement, and review HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
• Manage employee relations, grievance handling, discipline, and engagement initiatives.
• Drive performance appraisal, training, and retention programmes.
• Present periodic HR MIS reports and manpower data to the management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Any Bachelor's Degree
• MBA / PG in Human Resources preferred

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in HR management, including team handling.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, payroll coordination, PF, ESI, and labour laws.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of HRMS / ERP software and MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in Trading, Distribution, Retail, or FMCG-related organizations.
• Experience in multi-division or multi-location HR operations.
• Fluency in Malayalam and English.
