Position Summary

This role supports HR Operations leadership in evaluating current employee lifecycle and offboarding processes, designing improvements for future-state workflows, and building the structure necessary to enhance automation, service consistency, and stakeholder trust. The senior individual contributor will bring hands-on experience in HR operations, project planning, and process improvement to strengthen execution discipline, document repeatable practices, and contribute to organizational transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess current employee lifecycle and offboarding processes to identify gaps, manual tasks, risks, handoff issues, and stakeholder challenges.
  • Develop practical recommendations to improve process consistency, accountability, automation readiness, and service quality.
  • Create project plans, process maps, governance routines, status updates, and implementation trackers to support disciplined execution.
  • Translate transformation priorities into clear milestones, deliverables, risks, decisions, and sustainment requirements.
  • Document current and future workflows, including roles, dependencies, controls, escalation points, and service expectations.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations, Centers of Excellence, HR Technology, Payroll, Legal, Risk, and other stakeholders to validate requirements and support implementation readiness.
  • Analyze service trends, recurring issues, and stakeholder feedback to recommend process improvements, knowledge content, self-service options, and handoffs.
  • Define measurable service quality indicators including timeliness, accuracy, stakeholder confidence, and employee experience.
  • Identify operational risks, control gaps, compliance issues, and data integrity concerns within HR processes.
  • Document process ownership, decision points, controls, and audit evidence needs to strengthen governance.
  • Support remediation planning and process improvements tied to audit findings or operational issues.
  • Evaluate workflow, reporting, and automation opportunities to enhance capacity, accuracy, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with HR Technology teams to translate operational needs into clear requirements and implementation strategies.
  • Use data and metrics such as cycle times, volumes, and quality indicators to prioritize improvements.
  • Develop tools, templates, dashboards, and routines to sustain process improvements after project completion.
  • Serve as a credible partner across HR functions and business stakeholders, translating feedback into actionable recommendations.
  • Build trust through ownership, clear communication, timely follow-up, and practical solutions.
  • Create documentation, playbooks, templates, and standards to reduce reliance on informal knowledge.
  • Coach team members on new routines and transformation deliverables, modeling structured problem-solving and disciplined project management.
  • Identify skill gaps and build HR Operations bench strength for ongoing success.

Required Qualifications

  • 6-10+ years of experience in HR Operations, HR shared services, employee lifecycle management, HR transformation, or related operational roles.
  • Proven experience in process redesign, current-state assessment, future-state planning, and process implementation within complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of employee lifecycle and offboarding processes, service delivery models, operational controls, and stakeholder support.
  • Ability to develop project plans, process documentation, governance materials, status reports, and leadership summaries.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and advance work without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (Oracle preferred), case management, workflow, reporting, or automation tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in highly regulated environments, such as financial services.
  • Background in HR service delivery, shared services transformation, offboarding, knowledge management, workflow design, or process optimization.
  • Exposure to automation, AI-enabled service solutions, reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
