HR Operations Transformation Manager

Robert Half is looking for an experienced HR Operations Transformation Manager to provide leadership and direction for a manufacturing organization in Maple Plain, Minnesota.

Project Overview

The HR Operations Transformation Consultant will provide experienced leadership and subject-matter expertise within the HR Operations function. This project-based role will help maintain continuity of critical HR operational activities while conducting a comprehensive assessment of the current HR Operations environment.

The consultant will evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, scalability, governance, and employee experience associated with current HR processes, systems, service-delivery practices, organizational responsibilities, and controls. Based on that assessment, the consultant will define what a high-performing future-state HR Operations function should look like and develop a prioritized, actionable roadmap for achieving that future state.

The engagement requires a combination of hands-on, day-to-day HR Operations leadership with future state thinking and objectives. The consultant will partner with HR leadership, U.S. HR Business Partners, HRIS, Global COEs, regional HR counterparts, and other key stakeholders as defined by the Sr. Manager, HRIS.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• System Competency: Advanced experience with UKG or comparable HCM platform, including employee lifecycle transactions, workflow admin, data validation, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Operational and Systems Thinker: Ability to connect HR service delivery decisions with employee experience, compliance, data integrity, scalability, and business requirements.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to diagnose issues, interpret data/metrics, and propose data-driven solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying operational obstacles and driving effective resolutions.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written skills, with a track record of partnering cross-functionally across departments to achieve organizational goals.
• Process Improvement: Ability to map processes, identify root causes, improve controls, reduce manual effort, and implement scalable solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to build effective working relationships across all areas of HR and functions in which cross-collaboration is required.
• Execution and prioritization: Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, meet and exceed service expectations, and respond effectively to escalations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced experience in UKG
• Experience supporting a multi-state employee population
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or similar operational business
• Experience leveraging AI tools to automate and streamline HR processes.
• Experience working within a global or matrixed HR organization
