About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Payroll Manager to join our team at PT Apex Nusantara Indo. This is a full-time position based in South Jakarta, Jakarta. As HR Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all payroll operations and ensuring compliance with Indonesian labour regulations and company policies. This role is strategically important to our organisation, as it directly impacts employee satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. You will lead the payroll function, manage payroll systems, and ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including data validation, salary calculations, statutory deductions and benefit administration
• Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, allowances, and other compensation to all employees
• Manage compliance with Indonesian labour laws, tax regulations and mandatory employee benefit schemes including BPJS contributions
• Maintain and reconcile payroll records, including personnel files and statutory documentation
• Coordinate with finance and accounting departments to ensure proper recording and reporting of payroll expenses
• Prepare and submit required payroll reports and regulatory filings to government agencies
• Manage payroll system administration and updates, ensuring accuracy and system integrity
• Handle employee enquiries regarding salary, benefits, deductions and payroll-related matters
• Review and implement payroll policy updates and procedural improvements
• Train and support the payroll team to ensure consistent delivery of services
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll management or a similar role within a professional organisation
• In-depth knowledge of Indonesian labour laws, tax regulations and statutory benefit requirements including BPJS, PPAK and PPh 21
• Proficiency with payroll software systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial and personnel data
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of HR processes and employee benefit administration
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Qualification in accounting, human resources or a related field is advantageous
• Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information System) platforms is preferred
