Peer Genius is recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation for an experienced and results-driven HR Performance Manager to join the business on a self-employed basis.

The Role

As the HR Performance Manager, you will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to develop and implement effective performance management strategies across the organisation.

You will be responsible for helping to create a high-performance culture, supporting managers with employee performance, identifying development opportunities, and implementing processes that improve productivity, engagement, and accountability.

This role would suit an experienced HR professional who is comfortable working independently and managing their own workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective performance management frameworks and processes.
• Support managers in setting clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations.
• Lead and improve performance review and appraisal processes.
• Identify performance trends and provide practical, data-driven recommendations.
• Support managers with performance improvement plans and employee development.
• Provide coaching and guidance on performance-related matters.
• Identify skills gaps and recommend appropriate development solutions.
• Help drive employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with senior leadership to support wider business objectives.
• Ensure HR performance processes align with current employment legislation and best practice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Proven experience in HR, performance management, organisational development, or talent development.
• Experience working independently, as a consultant, contractor, or self-employed professional is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of performance management frameworks and employee development strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A proactive, commercially aware, and results-driven approach.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent relevant experience is desirable.
