West Tip Waste Management is looking for a reliable and safety-focused HR Driver to join our team, carrying out scheduled collections from Containers for Change sites across Perth. This is a hands-on driving role operating a rear loader truck. You will travel between collection locations, safely empty bins containing recyclable bottles and glass, operate the truck's bin lifting equipment and transport collected material for unloading.

What you'll be doing

• Driving an HR rear loader truck to scheduled Containers for Change collection sites.
• Completing daily vehicle pre-start inspections and reporting faults.
• Safely positioning the truck and assessing collection areas before commencing work.
• Accessing collection areas and preparing bins for collection.
• Moving wheeled bins into position at the rear loader.
• Operating the rear-loader bin lifter and compaction equipment.
• Maintaining exclusion zones and working safely around members of the public, vehicles and other site users.
• Cleaning up any glass or recyclable material around the collection area following servicing.
• Transporting collected material and unloading at the designated facility.
• Following company SWMS, safety procedures, traffic management requirements and site-specific instructions.

What we're looking for

To be successful, you'll need:

• Current HR Driver's License – essential
• Experience driving heavy vehicles.
• Rear loader or waste/recycling industry experience highly regarded but not essential.
• Good driving record and strong safety awareness.
• Ability to undertake a physical, hands-on role involving regular entry/exit from the truck and moving wheeled bins.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude when attending customer and public sites.
• Ability to work independently and follow scheduled collection runs.
• Willingness to follow company policies, SWMS and safe work procedures.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
