About the role

Vivastar Entertainment Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced HR Recruiter to join our Human Resources and Recruitment team on a full-time basis. Based in our Kuchai Lama office in Kuala Lumpur, this role is pivotal in supporting the company's growth and success by identifying, attracting, and recruiting top talent across the organisation. As an HR Recruiter, you will play a strategic role in building and maintaining a talented workforce that aligns with our company values and business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organisational development whilst working within a dynamic and innovative entertainment company.

Key responsibilities

• Source, screen and shortlist qualified candidates through various recruitment channels including job boards, social media, networking and employee referral programmes

• Conduct initial telephone and face-to-face interviews with candidates to assess suitability for open positions

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned roles, ensuring timely and efficient candidate progression through each stage

• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements and desired candidate profiles

• Conduct reference checks and coordinate background verification processes

• Provide recruitment support and guidance to internal stakeholders throughout the hiring process

• Monitor recruitment metrics and report on key performance indicators to measure recruitment effectiveness

• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and competitive recruitment strategies

What we're looking for

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and comfort with learning new technology platforms
• A thorough understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle and candidate experience optimisation
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Preferably, experience recruiting for the entertainment, media or creative industries would be advantageous
