Description

A Shared Services Advisor provides guidance and support across various shared services functions to optimize operations and resolve employee inquiries. Identify, research, and resolve issues/discrepancies, and review and process HR personnel transactions.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from prospective, current, and former employees for a significant portion of the workday.
• Maintain knowledge of HR services and answer or appropriately route employee inquiries pertaining to basic HR programs, processes, procedures, and communications.
• Analyze and interpret basic issues; select methods, processes, or tools to meet needs, and coordinate solutions efficiently and accurately.
• Resolve or arrange for resolution of basic operational/processing issues, inquiries, and complaints.
• Provide guidance to internal/external customers and stakeholders regarding basic shared services processes and HR services.
• Perform functions in adherence to defined service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with HR-related policies, practices, and procedures.
• Support ongoing quality-control checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy of basic processes and procedures.
• Perform research for process improvements and provide information to senior staff and leadership as directed.

Qualifications

• Advanced customer service focus and relationship-management skills.
• Experience demonstrating the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, display a high degree of initiative, and manage multiple priorities effectively, preferably in a Human Resources or Shared Services function.
• Familiarity with various Human Resources issues, services, and systems.
• Previous call-center experience preferred.
• Exposure to human capital management systems preferred.
• Familiarity with organizational products, services, programs, policies, and procedures preferred.
• Basic skill in following, interpreting, and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices, and regulations.
• Effective database and presentation-software skills.
• Effective organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective ability to exercise initiative and use good judgment to make sound decisions.
• Effective ability to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
