HR Specialist

About the role

San Pablo Colleges Medical Center (SPCMC) is looking for a proactive, organized, and results-oriented HR Specialist to join our Human Resource Department. The successful candidate will primarily handle Training & Development and Performance Management while providing support for other HR functions as needed to ensure the effective implementation of HR programs and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assess training needs in coordination with department heads and supervisors to identify employee competency and development gaps.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate employee orientation, in-house training, seminars, workshops, and professional development programs.
• Develop and implement annual training plans, calendars, and learning and development initiatives.
• Prepare training materials, attendance records, evaluation forms, and post-training reports.
• Monitor training effectiveness and evaluate the impact of learning programs on employee performance and development.
• Coordinate with internal and external trainers to ensure the effective delivery of training programs.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the hospital's performance management system.
• Coordinate the conduct of regular employee performance evaluations in collaboration with department heads and supervisors.
• Prepare performance management reports and analyze evaluation results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide support for other HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement, and HR administrative activities, as needed.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Behavioral Science, or any related field.
• Preferably with at least 2 years of relevant experience in training and development, performance management, or general HR functions.
• Knowledge of training needs analysis, learning and development methodologies, and performance appraisal systems.
• Familiarity with Philippine labor laws and HR policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication, coordination, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong documentation, report preparation, and data analysis skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and capable of handling confidential employee information.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is an advantage.
