About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Supervisor to join our Human Resources team at our Skudai, Johor location. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR function and contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives. As an HR Supervisor, you will bridge the gap between senior HR management and operational staff, ensuring that our HR policies and procedures are effectively communicated and consistently applied across the organisation. This role is essential in maintaining a positive workplace culture and supporting our employees throughout their journey with JJ Suppliers Sdn Bhd.

What you'll be doing

• Handle the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination and onboarding of new employees
• Handle the administration of HR policies, procedures and employment contracts
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files in compliance with data protection regulations
• Process and manage payroll-related documentation, leave applications and employee benefits administration
• Provide first-line support to employees regarding HR matters, policies and workplace queries
• Assist in the coordination and delivery of staff training and development programmes
• Support the management of employee performance and conduct matters
• Contribute to the planning and execution of HR initiatives, including team-building activities and employee engagement programmes
• Maintain compliance with employment legislation and regulations
• Prepare HR reports and analytics to support business decision-making
• Liaise with external parties such as employment agencies, insurance providers and regulatory bodies as required

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a Human Resources role, ideally in a supervisory or senior administrative capacity
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law and HR best practices
• Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; additional language skills are advantageous
• Proficiency in Chinese language is highly desirable for this role
