HR Supervisor

About the role

WalterMart Community Mall is seeking an experienced HR Supervisor to join our Human Resources team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the effective management and development of our workforce. As HR Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing recruitment activities, employee relations, and human resources operations that directly impact our organisational success and employee satisfaction. This role bridges operational HR functions with strategic people management, ensuring our team members are supported, engaged, and aligned with our company values.

Key responsibilities

• Team Supervision: Assign requisitions, monitor workload, track hiring timelines, and train recruitment staff.
• Sourcing Strategy: Drive talent sourcing through job boards, social media, referral schemes, career fairs, and digital tools (e.g., QR-based applications).
• Screening & Selection: Review candidates, conduct preliminary interviews for critical roles, present shortlists, and manage background verification.
• Offers & Onboarding: Facilitate job offer negotiations, issue offer letters, and ensure a seamless handover to HR orientation/onboarding.
• Process & Analytics: Monitor recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates), maintain ATS/HRIS records, and optimize hiring workflows.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordinating capacity

• Strong knowledge of recruitment processes, employee relations, and HR best practices

• Proficiency in HR management systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels

• Strong organisational and time management abilities with attention to detail

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to HR challenges

• Experience in retail or mall management environments is preferred

• HRMP certification or similar professional qualification is advantageous
