HR Supervisor

About the role

Homemaker Furniture Store is seeking an experienced HR Supervisor to join our team in Cebu City, Cebu. As the HR Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall human resources function of our dynamic retail organisation. This full-time position will involve overseeing key HR processes and providing strategic guidance to ensure we attract, develop and retain top talent.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and promote positive employee experiences
• Oversee the administration of payroll, benefits, and other HR-related systems and processes
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of our employees
• Collaborate with departmental managers to identify and address HR-related needs and challenges
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation
• Assist with the planning and execution of HR-related initiatives, such as employee engagement activities and company events

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the retail industry
• Strong working knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation
• Proficient in HR-related software and technologies, such as HRIS systems and payroll processing
• Proactive, analytical, and problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail
• Proven experience in leading and developing HR teams
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
