We’re looking for an HRIS Architect – Workday to join our HRIS technology team and help design, develop, and support enterprise Workday solutions. This is a hands-on opportunity for a Workday technical professional who enjoys solving complex problems, working across integrations and reporting, and continuously learning new technologies.

This is a remote, contract to hire position, and candidates should be in the US Eastern time zone.

You’ll work with Workday integrations, reporting, security, and technical administration , partnering with HRIS teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and other technology teams to deliver reliable solutions that support critical HR processes.

As Workday continues to evolve, you’ll also have opportunities to develop skills in Workday Extend and other emerging platform capabilities . Prior Extend experience is a plus — but not required.

What You'll Do

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, Web Services, and APIs .
• Build and maintain Workday reports, calculated fields, and reporting solutions.
• Support Workday security configuration and technical administration.
• Develop, test, deploy, and monitor integrations and reports across Sandbox, Preview, and Production.
• Troubleshoot production issues, investigate data discrepancies, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Translate business requirements into practical Workday technical solutions.
• Collaborate with HRIS functional teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
• Create technical documentation and contribute to development standards and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with Workday releases and emerging technologies, including Workday Extend .

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of Workday or HRIS technical experience .
• Hands-on experience with Workday integrations and technical solutions .
• Experience with EIB, Web Services, Workday Reporting, and Calculated Fields .
• Working knowledge of XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, REST, and SOAP .
• Experience troubleshooting integrations and supporting production environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• A willingness to learn and expand your expertise across the Workday platform.

Nice to Have

• Workday Studio and Cloud Connect experience.
• Workday Security experience.
• Workday Extend experience or training.
• Workday certifications in Integrations, Reporting, Studio, or related areas.
• Software development, cloud, or integration experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, HRIS, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
