HSE Coordinator

Tokyo Modern Contracting LLC is looking for an experienced HSE Coordinator to implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures at our high-rise building construction projects in Dubai.

The ideal candidate must have UAE construction experience and be capable of ensuring compliance with company HSE policies, project safety requirements, and applicable UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety plans at high-rise building construction sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, hazards, and potential risks.
• Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety regulations and project-specific HSE requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for employees, workers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure workers follow safety procedures.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor high-risk activities, including working at heights, scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation, and electrical works.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports with corrective action plans.
• Conduct risk assessments and review Method Statements before high-risk activities.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, incident registers, and safety documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor emergency preparedness, fire safety arrangements, first-aid facilities, and evacuation procedures.
• Follow up on safety observations and ensure corrective actions are implemented on time.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of HSE experience in the UAE construction industry.
• High-rise building construction experience is mandatory or strongly preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC or an equivalent recognized HSE qualification is preferred.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations and site safety practices.
• Strong communication, reporting, inspection, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently at construction sites and coordinate with multiple project teams.
• Candidates available to join immediately will be preferred.
