Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced HSE Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental procedures across project sites, ensuring compliance with company policies and UAE safety regulations.

Candidates with UAE/Dubai construction experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Prepare and review Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and HSE plans.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training for employees and workers.
• Monitor compliance with PPE, work permits, safe working procedures, and site safety requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers regarding HSE matters.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE HSE regulations and project requirements.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, training records, and other safety documentation.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, hot work, excavation, and electrical works.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills, and response procedures.
• Report HSE performance and safety issues to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory/preferred.
• IOSH certification will be an advantage.
• 2–4 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in construction/MEP projects.
• UAE/Dubai experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and HSE regulations.
• Experience in preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, HSE Plans, and inspection reports.
• Good knowledge of incident investigation and corrective/preventive actions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct toolbox talks and safety training.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Valid UAE Driving License is an advantage/mandatory depending on the position.
• Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.
