Job Description

We are looking for a HSE Engineer to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of UAE experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and hold a valid NEBOSH qualification.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety procedures, conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with UAE HSE requirements and company safety standards.

Candidates must currently be based in the UAE and be available for immediate joining.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Identify hazards and carry out risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures and applicable UAE safety regulations.
• Monitor workers, subcontractors, and site activities to ensure safe working practices.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness sessions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, and prepare appropriate reports.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure proper implementation of permit-to-work systems where applicable.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports, checklists, and records.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and management regarding safety matters.
• Monitor housekeeping, access/egress, work-at-height activities, lifting operations, electrical safety, and other site hazards.
• Assist in emergency preparedness, drills, and implementation of emergency response procedures.
• Report safety violations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project/site.

Requirements

• NEBOSH qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year of HSE experience in the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering, HSE, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of PPE, toolbox talks, safety inspections, and permit-to-work procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prepare safety reports and maintain HSE documentation.
• Must be currently based in the UAE.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a site-based environment.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: AED 3,000 – AED 5,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
