HSE Expert (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement occupational safety programs to minimize workplace hazards and promote a safety-first culture.
• Integrate international HSE best practices with Indian safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols across all project and site activities.
• Organize HSE training, awareness programs, and safety campaigns for employees.
• Establish and implement SHE policies, procedures, and performance standards for Metro Rail projects.
• Coordinate with project teams for effective execution of safety measures at construction sites.
• Monitor, review, and continuously improve SHE management systems and programs.
• Track, analyze, and report HSE performance metrics and key indicators.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and national SHE laws and regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Keep projects aligned with evolving legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE management systems in line with ISO 45001 standards.
• Lead ISO 45001 certification and recertification processes, including documentation, training, and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve global safety and operational excellence standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree with additional qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, both international and Indian.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
