Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related engineering/science field is preferred. Minimum 10 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within the chemical manufacturing industry. Candidates with 8 years of experience may also be considered if they demonstrate exceptional qualifications and relevant industry expertise. Proven experience in chemical manufacturing involving polymers, polyols, alkyds, resins, or similar raw chemical materials. Preferably with UAE chemical manufacturing experience and up-to-date knowledge of local HSE regulations and industry practices. Must hold recognized HSE certifications, such as NEBOSH or an equivalent qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE HSE legislation, regulatory requirements, and relevant ISO standards. Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs across production and plant operations. Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, and compliance audits. Monitor operational safety, chemical handling, hazardous materials management, and emergency preparedness. Ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to minimize workplace risks and incidents. Prepare and submit monthly HSE performance reports, incident statistics, and compliance updates to Management. Promote a strong safety culture through employee training, awareness programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
