HSE Officer

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE standards
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Provide HSE training and induction programmes to all employees and contractors to promote a strong safety culture
• Monitor and maintain HSE documentation, records, and reporting systems to ensure accurate and timely compliance reporting
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and external HSE consultants to ensure ongoing compliance with local and national legislation
• Analyse HSE data and trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend preventive measures
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills to ensure workplace preparedness
• Promote environmental sustainability initiatives and waste management practices throughout the manufacturing facility
• Provide HSE support to management and operational teams on risk assessments and safety-related matters

What we're looking for
·       Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health/ Engineering or related field.

·       Minimum of 3-year experiences in Health, Safety & Environment (roles preferably from Manufacturing sector).

·       Holding on General AK3 Certification (AK3 Umum).

·       Holding on Occupational Health & Safety for working environment (K3 Lingkungan Kerja).

·       Understand K3 and Environment regulations & laws in Indonesia

·       Have valid certification in Basic Fire, First Aid, HIRA, ISO 9001, (include Internal Auditor) & SMK3 PP 50/2012.

·       Proficient in Englishand/or Mandarin.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).

·       Have excellent communication and coordination skills.

·       Having experience in developing HSE training Module and as a trainer would be beneficial.

·       Strong critical thinking, strategically, proactively and problem-solving skill.

·       Able to work independently and supervise a team.

·       Willing to be placed in Batam.
