HSE OFFICER

We are looking for an experienced HSE Officer / PIC with strong kitchen and food catering industry experience to ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Food Safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the HSE PIC and main point of contact for inspections and visits from government and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate and handle inspections by Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, Health Authorities, and other relevant government departments.
• Ensure the central kitchen, food preparation areas, stores, equipment, and staff facilities comply with required HSE and food safety standards.
• Prepare the kitchen and all required documents for government inspections and audits.
• Maintain and update HSE, Food Safety, HACCP, risk assessment, training, inspection, and compliance records.
• Follow up on government inspection observations and ensure corrective actions are completed within the required timelines.
• Conduct regular kitchen inspections, safety checks, hygiene inspections, and risk assessments.
• Monitor food handling, personal hygiene, PPE, chemical storage, waste management, fire safety, and safe working practices.
• Conduct toolbox talks, HSE training, and food safety awareness sessions for kitchen and catering staff.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with Operations, Kitchen, Food Safety, Maintenance, and Management to maintain continuous compliance.
• Ensure all required permits, certificates, licenses, and inspection records are valid and readily available.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Relevant HSE certification such as NEBOSH / IOSH is preferred.
• Previous experience in food catering, hospitality, central kitchen, or food production is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety, food hygiene, HACCP principles, and UAE HSE requirements.
• Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
