Full-time, Permanent Role

Build Your Future with Te Aratika

Te Aratika Infrastructure is a whānau-owned business dedicated to strengthening communities through civil infrastructure, workforce development, and meaningful employment.

As we grow, we are investing in systems and technology to help our people work more safely, efficiently, and effectively.

We are seeking a Systems Developer to support the development, administration, maintenance, and improvement of our Noggin platform and related Health, Safety, Environmental Protection, Quality Assurance (HSEPQA), Risk, and Compliance systems.

In this role, you will work with the HSEPQA Systems Manager to develop skills in enterprise systems, reporting, compliance, user support, and continuous improvement. You will support system administration and operations to enhance our HSEPQA systems.

Why Join Te Aratika?

This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills while making a meaningful impact on our people, projects, and communities. At Te Aratika, we build more than infrastructure; we build pathways.

We offer the opportunity to:

  • Engage in meaningful work that supports safer workplaces and stronger communities.
  • Gain experience with enterprise HSEPQA, business, and compliance systems across civil infrastructure, workforce development, training, and community-focused operations.
  • Contribute to building systems that drive operational excellence and positive social outcomes.
  • Be part of a supportive, whānau-centred culture grounded in Whanaungatanga (building relationships), Manaakitanga (care, respect), and Kotahitanga (unity).
  • Receive ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Access pathways for career progression, greater responsibility, and wage growth as your capabilities develop.

The Role

You will support the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Te Aratika's Noggin platform and associated HSEPQA processes, including:

  • Supporting HSEPQA, risk, compliance, assurance, and reporting activities.
  • Assisting with requirements analysis, system configuration, forms, workflows, reporting, permissions, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and system improvements.
  • Supporting users, responding to system enquiries, resolving issues, and helping to build capability across the organisation.
  • Supporting testing, documentation, and system enhancements.
  • Maintaining reports, records, documentation, and training resources.
  • Supporting onboarding, training, and capability development.
  • Gradually develop the ability to independently administer, support, maintain, and improve the Noggin platform and related HSEPQA systems.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
  • Are reliable, accountable, and follow through on commitments.
  • Are honest, trustworthy, and act with integrity.
  • Take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Enjoy learning new systems, solving problems, and finding practical solutions.
  • Have strong analytical, organisational, and systems-thinking skills, and are confident working with information, data, workflows, and documentation.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Communicate respectfully and contribute positively to team culture.
  • Adapt well to changing priorities and business requirements.
  • Are committed to health, safety, environmental responsibility, quality, and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Analysis, Systems Administration, Data Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience, training, study, or practical exposure to business systems, software, digital platforms, workflows, or business applications.
  • Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand.
