HSEQ Manager

We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing business with global backing that is looking for a Quality & Improvement Lead to help modernise the way they operate.

This isn't a traditional compliance-heavy Quality Manager role.

We're looking for someone who enjoys challenging the status quo, improving processes, using data to drive decisions and exploring new technologies that can make operations smarter, faster and more effective.

You'll work closely with operations leadership to strengthen quality systems, improve safety performance, streamline processes and identify opportunities to leverage automation, digital tools and AI across the business.

If you're someone who looks at a process and immediately sees a better way to do it, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Lead quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives across the business
• Improve existing systems, processes and ways of working
• Develop practical SOPs, workflows and operational standards
• Analyse data, identify trends and provide meaningful business insights
• Investigate issues and implement long-term corrective actions
• Support compliance and quality management systems
• Partner with operational leaders to improve performance and accountability
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation
• Explore opportunities to use AI, automation and technology to improve reporting, documentation and operational efficiency
• Influence how the business approaches quality and operational excellence into the future

What we're looking for

• Experience improving processes, systems or operational performance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• The ability to influence and engage people at all levels
• An interest in technology, automation, AI or digital transformation
• Confidence working with data, reporting and performance metrics
• A practical, hands-on approach to change and improvement
• Curiosity, initiative and a continuous improvement mindset

Experience with quality systems, ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Health & Safety frameworks would be beneficial but is not essential.

What's on offer

• Lower Hutt location
• Global organisation with local decision-making
• Genuine ownership and autonomy
• Exposure to new technology and innovation projects
• Opportunity to shape systems and processes
• Supportive leadership team
• Long-term career growth opportunities

If you're commercially minded, curious, tech-savvy and passionate about making businesses run better, we'd love to hear from you.
