Role Description This Data & AI Intern role at ZINTROX™ is an internship position based in Miami, FL with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a mix of on-site and work-from-home days. The intern will support data collection, cleaning, and preparation tasks, assist in building and evaluating basic machine learning models, and help analyze datasets to identify insights that can improve product features and user safety. Day-to-day responsibilities may include collaborating with engineers and product team members, documenting experiments and findings, and contributing to proof-of-concept AI solutions aligned with ZINTROX™ security and connectivity goals. The intern will also participate in team meetings, contribute to technical and non-technical reports, and learn best practices for responsible and secure use of data and AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess foundational skills in data analysis and statistics, including comfort working with datasets and interpreting quantitative results.
• Candidates should possess programming skills relevant to data and AI (such as Python or R), including familiarity with common data libraries and basic scripting.
• Candidates should possess introductory knowledge of machine learning or AI concepts, including model training, evaluation, and ethical considerations in AI.
• Candidates should possess skills in problem-solving and critical thinking, with the ability to approach technical challenges in a structured and logical way.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to document work clearly and contribute effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is beneficial.
• Interest in security-focused technology, connected devices, or consumer safety products is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting in Miami, FL, manage multiple tasks, and learn new tools and methodologies quickly is expected.
