Reports to: Supply & Logistics Manager (Primary) and Hub Manager (Operational)

Keep Our Hub Running. Support Our Teams. Make a Real Impact.

At Lightforce Solar, we're helping thousands of Kiwis take control of their energy costs while building a more sustainable future. With 11 hubs nationwide and continued growth across New Zealand, we're looking for a reliable and organised Hub Coordinator to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping things organised, and likes being the person others can rely on.

You'll work closely with both the Supply & Logistics Manager and the local Hub Manager to ensure our installation teams have the stock, equipment and materials they need to deliver successful projects every day.

As the Hub Coordinator, you'll be the link between our national supply chain and local hub operations. While the Supply & Logistics Manager provides inventory oversight and support, you'll work alongside the Hub Manager on a day-to-day basis to keep the hub running smoothly.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics coordination and operational support.

Working largely independently, you'll take ownership of the warehouse and stock functions within the hub, ensuring inventory remains accurate, installers have what they need, and the warehouse is maintained to a high standard.

No two days are exactly the same. One day you might be completing stock takes and preparing installation kits, the next you're receiving deliveries, organising stock, or delivering urgent materials to site.

What You'll Be Doing

Warehouse Operations

  • Receive, unload, check and receipt incoming deliveries.
  • Organise and store stock safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare installation kits, equipment and materials for upcoming jobs.
  • Prepare and stage solar panels and associated equipment for installation teams.
  • Load and unload vehicles using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Manage daily stock transfers between the warehouse and installation vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Ensure stock is stored appropriately and remains protected from damage.

Inventory Management

  • Conduct monthly warehouse stocktakes and inventory reconciliations.
  • Complete fortnightly or monthly vehicle stocktakes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify replenishment requirements.
  • Order stock and consumables as required.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and inventory issues.
  • Maintain accurate stock records within company systems.
  • Ensure all inventory movements are accurately recorded and documented.

Logistics & Hub Support

  • Coordinate stock availability for scheduled installations.
  • Support installation teams with stock, equipment and materials.
  • Act as the connection between the Supply & Logistics team and local hub operations.
  • Assist the Hub Manager with day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Deliver materials, equipment or urgent stock to sites when required.
  • Support stock transfers between hubs, warehouses and installation vehicles.
  • Communicate proactively regarding stock availability and operational requirements.

Systems & Administration

  • Use company systems, including simPRO and inventory management software.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to stock receipts, transfers and inventory transactions.
  • Manage purchase order, delivery and inventory documentation.
  • Support administrative and operational tasks associated with managing the hub.

Health & Safety

  • Follow all company health and safety procedures and operational guidelines.
  • Operate forklifts, vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Report hazards, incidents and near misses promptly.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and compliant warehouse environment.
  • Follow safe lifting and manual handling practices at all times.

About You

You're organised, reliable and take pride in keeping things running smoothly. You enjoy practical, hands-on work but are equally comfortable using computer systems and maintaining accurate records.

Essential

  • Current Forklift Licence.
  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory control or a similar role.
  • Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock safely.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Desirable

  • Experience using simPRO or similar inventory management systems.
  • Experience within the solar, electrical, construction or trade sectors.
  • Previous experience coordinating stock, inventory or logistics operations.
