With 12,000 colleagues, 30,000 couriers and drivers, 8,000 vehicles, and a nationwide network of hubs, depots and fulfilment centres, we combine over 50 years of expertise with the scale and flexibility to support everyone from casual senders to SMEs and major retailers. Driven by our friendly, ambitious and diverse people, we are passionate about delivering exceptional service and offer exciting opportunities across the Evri Group.

At Evri, we're all about people, performance and making every parcel count.

We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Hub, Systems & Yard Assistant Controller to join our operation in Rugby. This is a key role within our Control Room team, supporting the smooth running of inbound and outbound operations while helping to ensure parcels move efficiently through our network.

Working closely with the Hub, Systems & Yard Controller, you'll play a crucial role in monitoring operational performance, managing system functionality, supporting colleagues, and ensuring our service standards remain industry leading.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with data and systems, and have a passion for operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of inbound and outbound operations within the hub.
  • Monitoring performance, productivity and parcel flow to help achieve operational targets.
  • Using systems and data to identify issues, investigate missed parcels and support effective resolutions.
  • Producing accurate operational reports and communicating key updates to stakeholders.
  • Supporting the management of gatehouse activities, trailer dispatches and sorter system performance.
  • Training and supporting Warehouse Operatives, Team Leaders and Section Leaders on operational processes and systems.
  • Promoting high standards of health & safety, quality and operational compliance.
  • Playing a key role in maintaining an efficient, organised and high-performing Control Room environment.

What We're Looking For

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience within logistics, distribution, warehousing or a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience analysing operational data and producing reports.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Skills & Attributes

  • Confident using operational systems and technology.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise instructions.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Assertive and confident when dealing with operational priorities.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Good written and verbal Maths and English skills.
  • PC literate with confidence using Microsoft Office applications.

Why Join Evri?

At Evri, we know our success is driven by our people. That's why we're committed to creating an environment where colleagues can develop, grow and make a real impact.

In return, you'll join a supportive and fast-paced operation where you'll have the opportunity to build your skills, contribute to business performance and be part of one of the UK's leading parcel delivery networks.
