Human Resource Assistant - Payroll

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and processing monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Check and verify employee attendance, overtime, leave, allowances and deductions.
• Assist with payroll processing using the Info Tech payroll system.
• Maintain and update employee payroll and personal information in the HR/payroll system.
• Assist in preparing and submitting statutory contributions, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB/MTD.
• Prepare payroll related reports and documentation for HR and management.
• Respond to basic employee enquiries regarding salary, deductions and leave.
• Assist with payroll documentation for new joiners and resigned employees.
• Maintain proper filing of payroll and HR documents.
• Organize and maintain physical and electronic employee files.
• Perform other ad hoc HR and administrative duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification and Experience

• Diploma in Human Resource or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in payroll or HR administration is preferred
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of Malaysian payroll and statutory requirements
• Familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
