Job Title: HR Manager Insurance Industry

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager with a strong background in the insurance sector to lead and manage all human resource functions. The role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR strategy aligned with business goals in a fast-paced insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for roles across underwriting, claims, sales, and operations
• Develop hiring strategies specific to insurance roles (agents, brokers, actuaries, etc.)
• Partner with business leaders to forecast manpower needs

2. Employee Relations & Engagement

• Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution
• Drive engagement initiatives to improve retention and productivity
• Foster a positive workplace culture

3. Performance Management

• Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems
• Support managers in goal setting and employee development plans
• Identify training needs and coordinate L&D programs

4. Compensation & Benefits

• Design and manage compensation structures aligned with insurance industry standards
• Oversee payroll, incentives (especially sales commissions), and benefits programs

5. Compliance & Policy Management

• Ensure compliance with labor laws and insurance regulatory requirements
• Develop and update HR policies and procedures
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation

6. HR Operations & Reporting

• Oversee daily HR operations and HRIS systems
• Analyze HR metrics (attrition, hiring, productivity) and provide insights
• Prepare reports for senior management

Key Requirements

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• MBA/PGDM in HR preferred

Experience:

• 27 years of HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in the insurance industry
• Experience handling sales-heavy environments (agency/channel sales) preferred

Skills:

• Strong understanding of insurance business functions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of labor laws and compliance
• Ability to handle high-volume hiring
• Proficiency in HR software/HRIS
