About the role

We are seeking a Human Resource Executive to join our team in Bukit Minyak, Penang on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our Human Resources department, where you will play an integral role in managing industrial and employee relations matters. As a Human Resource Executive, you will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. This role sits at the heart of our people operations and directly contributes to the overall success and wellbeing of our workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day employee relations matters, including handling grievances, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution
• Provide support in recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring smooth integration of new employees into the organisation
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
• Coordinate training and development programmes to support employee growth and skill enhancement
• Liaise with management and employees to address workplace concerns and foster a positive working environment
• Support payroll and benefits administration activities
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and company standards
• Contribute to HR initiatives that promote employee engagement and retention
• Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making at management level

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in industrial and employee relations
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and labour regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff
• Sound organisational and time management abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR management systems
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach to employee relations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is an advantage
• A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
