Human Resource Manager

Job Summary

We are a fast-growing, multi-outlet business seeking a hands-on HR Manager with FMCG experience to lead our human resources function. You will manage daily HR operations, strengthen people policies and develop a capable workforce in a fast-paced environment.

This role suits someone who takes ownership, makes practical decisions and works closely with management and outlet leaders to support business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning for head office and outlets, ensuring timely hiring for existing operations and new locations.
• Oversee payroll, attendance, overtime, benefits and statutory contributions to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Develop and implement HR policies, employee handbooks and procedures consistently across the group.
• Manage employee relations, grievances and disciplinary matters, and guide managers on appropriate action.
• Establish and improve performance appraisals, KPIs, promotion criteria and career progression frameworks.
• Review salary structures and incentive schemes with management to support performance and retention.
• Coordinate onboarding, training and talent development with department and outlet leaders.
• Monitor headcount, turnover, recruitment progress and manpower costs, translating findings into practical improvements.
• Ensure HR practices comply with applicable Malaysian employment requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant HR experience, including at least two years in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Prior HR experience in the FMCG industry is required.
• Experience managing frontline employees across multiple locations is highly valued.
• Proven track record in recruitment, employee relations, payroll oversight and implementing HR policies.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment requirements and experience using payroll or HR management systems.
• Able to manage competing priorities, resolve issues independently and follow through on decisions.
• Willing to visit outlets when required.
• Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
