Human Resource Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Labor & Industrial Relations: Manage union negotiations (if applicable), collective bargaining agreements, grievance handling, and conflict resolution on the shop floor. [1]
• Recruitment & Staffing: Source and hire skilled and semi-skilled manufacturing workers (such as machine operators, technicians, and supervisors) alongside corporate staff.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to labor laws, wage-and-hour regulations, and occupational health and safety standards (such as OSHA or local factory acts).
• Performance & Retention: Oversee performance appraisals, manage disciplinary actions or terminations, and design programs to curb absenteeism and high turnover. [1, 2]
• Training & Development: Coordinate technical training, safety drills, machine operation certifications, and leadership programs for floor supervisors. [1]
• Compensation & Benefits: Administer hourly wages, shift allowances, overtime calculations, health insurance, and workers' compensation claims.
