Human Resource Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

Optimo International is seeking an HR Manager to own the end-to-end HR function and work directly with the CEO to lead company-wide HR initiatives. You'll help attract and retain top retail talent as the company scales, developing talent, scaling culture, and building high-performance teams across retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end HR function—from recruitment to retention
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company growth and retail culture
• Build and manage onboarding, training, and performance management systems for store and support staff
• Track team KPIs, productivity metrics, and morale pulse regularly
• Draft, organize, and oversee all employee contracts (interns, freelancers, contractors, and FTEs)
• Act as a business partner to the CEO and department/store heads on people strategy
• Keep the team aligned with internal updates, memos, and communications
• Lead and manage compliance with Philippine labor laws and HR policies
• Coach and develop store leaders and team members to hit sales targets and grow professionally

About you

• Solid knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR compliance
• At least 5 years of HR leadership experience (preferably in retail or a fast-paced operational setting)
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and people development skills
• Strong communication, documentation, and negotiation abilities
• Highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented
• Tech-savvy, capable of using HRIS tools, tracking metrics, and implementing systems
• Strategic HR leader who wants a seat at the table
• Can coach and challenge others, including executives and store leaders
• People-first mindset AND a results-driven attitude
• Lead with integrity, humility, and professionalism
