ABOUT WORSLEY

Are you looking to be home every night? If so, this is your opportunity to live, work and play a short drive from stunning coastlines, scenic trails and the food and wine heartland of the west.

Located in the picturesque south-west and Peel regions of Western Australia, South32 Worsley Alumina is on a journey to become the world's leading Alumina producer where our workforce value the lifestyle that Worsley Alumina has to offer.

Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future.

WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS

  • Ability to purchase up to 4 weeks of additional annual leave.

  • 14% superannuation contributions

  • Annual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the business.

  • 26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a permanent, site-based opportunity working an average 40-hour week on day shift. The roster can be either a 9-day or 10-day fortnight, depending on the successful applicant's preference.

Candidates should ideally live within an hour's drive of Collie as there is no accommodation on site.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will work as part of a broader HR team of nine, supporting the Worsley business to deliver its people-focused objectives. You will provide operational HR support and trusted advice to leaders across the employee lifecycle. You will help provide strong HR systems support, strengthen workplace culture and support practical, effective people decision-making.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Respond to employee and leader queries received through internal HR systems, ensuring support and advice is practical, timely and aligned with business requirements.
  • Liaise with HR Shared Services (based in Perth) to support employee changes, maintain accurate HR data and contribute to effective people processes.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to leaders across the employee lifecycle, including interpreting policies and procedures, supporting employee-related processes and assisting with workforce matters.
  • Support recruitment and workforce management activities, including position description updates, role changes and HR BP and leader support.
  • Contribute to culture, engagement and continuous improvement initiatives that support Worsley's people and business objectives

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Strong IT skills, including the ability to process employee requests efficiently, maintain workforce data, prepare standard reports and use Microsoft Office programs confidently.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees, with confident communication across frontline and professional teams.
  • Sound judgement when interpreting policies, procedures and employment-related information, with a practical approach to resolving general queries.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, complex environment is desirable.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach, with the initiative to solve problems and adapt when no two days are the same.

Qualifications for this position are:
