Job Title: HR Advisor

Hourly Rate: £DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join a leading engineering organisation on a temporary basis, providing hands-on HR support.

Working closely with managers and employees, you will provide practical advice across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on employee relations, UK employment law and day-to-day HR support.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR matters.
• Manage and advise on absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance cases.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Support onboarding, internal moves, exits and accurate HR records.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers on recruitment and induction.
• Support employee engagement, wellbeing and HR initiatives.
• Provide HR reporting and contribute to process improvements.
• Build strong relationships with managers, employees and key stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure GDPR compliance.

About You

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or HR Generalist.
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) required; Level 7 advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
• Confident managing ER cases independently.
• Engineering, manufacturing or operational HR experience desirable.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Pragmatic, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
