Title: HR Advisor

Location: Cumbria - Hybrid Model (70% Home based 30% onsite)

Type of role: Contract and Permanent

Require travel

We need someone who is a people/HR advisor currently or has been in the recent past. someone who is a good HR generalist and has experience of employee relations cases.

Qualifications

• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in HR/ Employee Relations
• HR related Qualification
• Chartered Level MCIPD

Experience & Knowledge

• Providing quality advice and guidance on high-risk HR casework
• Managing a varied workload utilizing personal organization skills
• Up to date knowledge, understanding and practical application of employment legislation and issues including diversity in employment.
• Handling difficult and sensitive redundancy, discipline, capability and grievance casework.
• Experience of establishing credibility with clients and communicating simply and persuasively about HR issues with non-HR specialists
• Working directly with clients to resolve HR issues.
• Working and consulting with trade unions
• Formulating policy to achieve organizational goals
• Experience of providing employee relations and employee resourcing advice to education-based clients
• Experience of managing discipline/grievance/capability/redundancy/absence issues.
• Experience of contributing to multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience of delivering training events

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to provide clear verbal and written advice
• Ability to use IT systems to deliver HR services- i.e. enquiry management, casework recording
• Ability to think in creative and innovative way
• Ability to undertake QA checks to maintain and improve service quality and consistency
• Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities
• Ability to travel to attend on site client meetings
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Computer literate e.g. experiences effectively using Microsoft Packages, Word/Excel/Email.
• Current and valid driving license with own transport.
