HR Advisor – Reward, Payroll & People Operations
9-Month Fixed-Term Contract | 35 Hours per Week
Ready to take your HR experience to the next level?
Looking for an HR role where you can do more than just manage the day-to-day? Want to get involved in reward, salary benchmarking, payroll, recruitment and wider people initiatives?
We're recruiting an HR Advisor to join an established international organisation on a nine-month fixed-term contract. Working closely with the Head of HR and wider HR team, you'll play a key role in delivering people processes across the EMEA region, supporting employees, managers and local HR teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys variety, takes ownership and wants to gain valuable experience across multiple areas of HR — from performance and reward to employee engagement and people operations.
What you'll be doing
Reward, performance & salary reviews
- Coordinate the annual performance appraisal, salary review and bonus processes.
- Support managers with job grading, role alignment and salary benchmarking.
- Work with senior leaders to review appraisal outcomes and salary proposals.
- Prepare salary review and bonus letters, ensuring agreed changes are implemented accurately.
- Coordinate bonus payments with payroll and ensure deadlines are met.
HR advice & employee support
- Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing practical guidance on policies and procedures.
- Support managers and employees with day-to-day HR matters, escalating more complex issues when needed.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures and the Staff Handbook, keeping them aligned with employment legislation.
- Support employee relations administration, including documentation and meeting notes.
- Keep up to date with legislative changes and highlight relevant updates to the Head of HR.
Payroll & benefits
- Coordinate and process payroll, ensuring information is accurate and submitted on time.
- Manage employee benefits administration.
- Prepare payroll and benefits analysis to support reporting and decision-making.
Recruitment & onboarding
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from advertising and shortlisting through to offers.
- Prepare employment contracts and documentation relating to changes in terms and conditions.
- Coordinate pre-employment checks, references and background screening.
- Deliver new starter inductions and oversee probation review processes.
- Maintain job descriptions and provide salary benchmarking data to support recruitment and organisational changes.
Learning, development & HR projects
- Review existing training programmes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate training courses, providers and events.
- Support employee engagement, talent retention and wider HR initiatives.
- Work with HR colleagues across different locations to support consistent people practices.
- Provide guidance and support to HR team members, including the HR Officer.
- Contribute feedback on HR systems and help improve processes across the business.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a confident, organised HR professional who can balance operational delivery with analytical work and stakeholder support.
You'll bring:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
- A good understanding of HR policies, procedures and employment practices.
- Experience or exposure to payroll, benefits and employee lifecycle processes.
- Strong analytical skills, with confidence working with data, reports and salary benchmarking.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with employees, managers and senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Experience with performance management, annual salary reviews and bonus processes would be particularly valuable.
Why consider this opportunity?
- A genuinely varied HR role: Get involved in reward, payroll, recruitment, employee relations and learning and development.
- International exposure: Work with HR colleagues, managers and stakeholders across the EMEA region.
- Senior stakeholder engagement: Support the Head of HR and work with senior management on performance and reward processes.
- Make an impact: Help deliver important people processes and contribute to improvements across the HR function.
- A defined nine-month assignment: An opportunity to broaden your experience and strengthen your HR skill set.
