HR Advisor – FMCG/Food Manufacturing

Leigh, Greater Manchester – Site Based

£35,000-£42,000 Salary + Monthly Travel Allowance + Bonus

You’ll be joining a supportive HR team in a business that takes development seriously.

There’s scope to broaden your experience across employee relations, recruitment, engagement, reward and HR projects, with opportunities to progress within the HR function and the wider international group.

There’s also support for further CIPD qualifications, so if you’re keen to keep developing, you’ll have the opportunity to do that.

What will you be doing?

If you’re an HR Advisor who’d rather be solving problems with managers than spending all day updating policies, this could be right up your street.

This is a hands-on, generalist HR role supporting a busy, 24/7 manufacturing site. You’ll be out on the factory floor, working with managers and employees, dealing with the issues that crop up in a fast-moving business and helping people get better at managing people.

What do you need?

• Either you’ll already have experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist role in a fast-paced environment, or you’ll be looking to step up to this level.
• Food manufacturing experience would be a bonus - manufacturing, logistics and any other fast-paced operational environments are great too.
• More importantly, you’ll be comfortable dealing with people at all levels, confident handling employee relations and able to give managers practical advice they can actually use.
• You won’t be someone who hides behind a policy whenever a problem comes along. You’ll use your judgement, take a common-sense approach and know when to get involved.
